Jeroan J. Allison, M.D., M.S., is Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine. Dr. Allison is an experienced health services researcher who is also the Co-Director of the UAB CERTs and Associate Director of the Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research and Education (COERE). Dr. Allison’s research activities focus on quality measurement and provider behavior change technology. Dr. Allison currently serves as Principal Investigator for a project sponsored by the National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases translating research into practice. He is the past Chair of the Translating Research into Practice (TRIP) Steering Committee at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). He is co-editor-in-chief of Medical Care and recently served on a standing AHRQ study section. Dr. Allison has more than 60 peer-reviewed publications in print or press. He has participated in past projects with MCRC investigators in guidelines and quality indicator development as well as a number of evidence implementation projects both in MSD as well as other areas.
