CERTs Mission
 

The mission of the UAB CERTs is to

  1. Evaluate the effectiveness, safety and impact on health related quality of life and
  2. Educate practitioners, insurers, policy makers, and the general public about Musculoskeletal Disease (MSD) therapeutics.

This mission will be accomplished by focusing on the following aims:

  • Identifying and reducing musculoskeletal disease therapeutics, medical errors, defining health care disparities, and translating research into practice
  • Developing health care policies for safety, effectiveness, and cost-effective musculoskeletal therapeutics
  • Positioning new knowledge about older MSD therapeutics within the framework of new therapeutics
  • Identifying effective educational programs for community provider education and research.
